The uniqueness of this rod comes from the its origins as both an inshore and offshore rod. It combines the blank strength and durability, for tackling offshore, deep water Black Sea Bass and Blackfish, to the blank sensitivity thats required for targeting back bay fluke during the early season. This rod really shines when fishing for Fluke on extremely sensitive bite days, as the Fluke of all sizes don't want to commit to the bait fully. Since this type of fishing inherently requires added sensitivity, this rod provides 110% of that! Additionally, when you're fishing for Blackfish, a sensitive feel is absolutely required, but also a blank with a sturdy and strong backbone is also needed. Our Salt Bug Series Rod provides the best of both worlds: high sensitivity plus a powerful blank.
